You feel uncomfortable and a little nervous when attending or holding a meeting in meeting room. Sometimes, you are tired of having meeting under as such cricumstance which is also one of key factors to confine your idea,espicallly when to brainstorm.
A new circumstance different to normal envirionment will be helpful to enlighten atendees to come up with new and creative ideas and also relax your tension to improve meeting efficiency.
We have tried to hold a program meeting in a traditional tea shop and finished all of scheduled topics ahead of time. We went through topics one by one with highest efficiency than before and got the target achieved.
Therefore, I strongly recommend you all to try to have meeting not in meeting room.

I think it should be considered by different projects. Maybe some topics can be finished or discussed in the coffee shop or anywhere else. But some topics should be hold in the meeting.

I agree with you!
Also, I think even it is a traditional meeting, you can start the meeting with a story or an event which is relevent with the topic to elicit what you want to discuss. I think it's better than the beginning of talking about the topic and details directly.
I had tried several times and felt good.
Why not have a try!

Would you please share your strory with us? especially related to some topics?
We have some many topics to discuss however we dont have so many stories related to the topics.
